Enroll a Child

The Children’s Dyslexia Center Boston North provides children in grades 1-12 with personalized on-to-one tutoring using a multisensory, structured language education (MSLE) approach that is language-based and success-oriented.

Our approach is based on the Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction developed by Dr. Samuel T. Orton and educator Anna Gillingham and is accredited by IMSLEC, the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council. The Orton-Gillingham methodology emphasizes auditory, visual and kinesthetic learning and explicit instruction that provide students with immediate feedback and a predictable sequence that integrates reading, writing and spelling. Students move through our program in a logical manner than enables mastery of critical foundational literacy skills. The positive impact of intervention on the lives of these children and their families inspires our continued commitment to this program.

Students attend two tutoring session each week throughout the academic year during after school hours on-site at our Lowell Center located at 79 Dutton Street. We take pride in the fact that our clinical model incorporates the latest scientific research in the field of dyslexia remediation. We are structured and funded to serve this specific population.

Tutoring is offered tuition free. We receive 100% of our funding through donations.

To determine eligibility for our program, we require a psycho-educational assessment and an academic performance assessment completed within the past two years. Please contact us for more information and to request an application.
